La Perla S/S 2015

Yesterday was a day that can best be described as being met with Christmas-like anticipation in my household.

Yes, you guessed it...it was the day the La Perla Spring/Summer 2015 catalog arrived.

It's almost hard to describe.  There are several different new product lines, with tons of bra/panty/bodysuit/lingerie combinations and they're all available in several different colors.  I'm trying to create a mix here of all the different possibilities, over the next few posts.  Hopefully it comes across like that.

Only Hearts

Only Hearts got its start in 1978 as a small boutique on New York City's Columbus Avenue.  At the time it was the go-to for literally anything you wanted that was heart-shaped.

It is now your go-to for some of the finest lingerie made in America.

Here are some amazing shots from their Spring/Summer 2015 lookbook:

Chantal Thomass Spring/Summer 2015 Part 2...and a Special Video

Hopefully you got a chance to check out my first post on the Chantal Thomass Spring/Summer 2015 line.  The line is so amazing that I wanted to include at least one photo of every new collection.  So I had to break this down into two posts.

I hope you enjoy Part 2:

Also, this quick video is a behind-the-scenes look at the photo shoot for this line.  It's a quick, fun video, but a definitely must-watch for lingerie lovers:

Marie Jo Spring/Summer 2015

While outside we continue to get buried under more and more snow, I am breathlessly awaiting the arrival of Spring.  Fortunately Spring is already arriving, when it comes to my latest obsession, Marie Jo.

Marie kicked off it's Spring/Summer 2015 with this amazing promotional video:

Here are some looks at the collections featured in that amazing video. I love them all, but I can't get enough of Tilda. Like I said...Spring can't come soon enough...

Review: Velia Contour Bra and Thong from Simone Perele

I must admit, when I think of luxury lingerie, my mind almost immediately goes to brands such as La Perla or Chantelle.  Otherwise I think of some of the newer brands on the market that are doing such an amazing job pushing the more traditional brands and revolutionizing the industry.  Of course then, there in the middle, is Simone Perele.  In the luxury lingerie market for over 60 years, they are certainly no newcomer.  Yet in terms of luxury, design, and detail, they are every bit the equal of the designers that seem to roll of the tongue a bit more quickly.

Over the past few weeks I've been fortunate enough to try a few different Simone Perele products.  I must say they've left me nothing short of stunned with their quality, fit, and design.  Whether you're looking for elegant, sexy, or functional, you'll be able to find just what you're looking for somewhere in their huge range of products.  The other thing you can count one, when you do purchase something, is being more than satisfied with the quality.

The Velia collection definitely falls under the functional label.  If you're looking for radiant colors or delicate laces, you might want to look at one of their other products.  But if you're looking for something that goes with everything and can be worn on virtually any occasion, this is the set for you.  You can count on a ton of wear and a lot of comfort without breaking the bank.

The Countour Bra features underwire, molded cups, and a deep plunge neckline that give shape without overdoing it on the uplift.  In addition, its super lightweight allowing you to wear it all day long with no discomfort whatsoever.  It's advertised as being for every body type, and I would tend to agree.  If you need a little more shape, it'll provide that for you, but it won't give you anything you don't need.  The bra is made of a micromesh, giving it a bit of transparency.

The Thong is one of several different options to make the matching set.  It is low rise, sitting on the hips.  It is also a stretch tulle and lightweight.  It is invisible under clothing and very comfortable, between it's light weight and ability to mold itself to any body type.

While I've purchased several pairs of Simone Perele panties in the past, this is the first matching set I've purchased.  I would highly recommend it to anyone in need of basics.  It's a slight uptick in price point from what you may purchase at department or mall stores while being a huge upgrade in quality.  If you're looking to upgrade your lingerie collection, or if you're just looking for another set to add, this collection is a great place to look.
